Rental and booking terms
1. Purpose and parties
These terms form the short-term rental agreement for the “Suite Capucines” and the “Romarin Room” in the Capucines & Romarin mazot, Chemin des Chèvres 2, 1968 Mase, between Véronique Nemeth, owner and landlord (hereinafter “the owner”), and the person making the booking (hereinafter “the guest”).
The guest is responsible for ensuring that everyone staying with them complies with these terms.
2. Conclusion of the agreement and booking
The booking takes effect when the guest accepts these terms while booking on capucinesetromarin.ch. It is recorded with a unique code (CR-XXXXX).
The minimum stay is 1 nights. The number of guests may not exceed the capacity stated for the accommodation.
The premises are let exclusively as living accommodation. The guest may not sublet them or transfer the booking without the owner’s consent.
3. Price and what is included
Prices are in Swiss francs (CHF). The total price shown when booking is guaranteed.
The total price includes: heating, hot and cold water, electricity, bath, bed and kitchen linen, end-of-stay cleaning and the tourist tax.
4. Payment
The rent is payable in full (100%) on booking, within 120 hours. Without payment within this period, the booking is cancelled automatically and the dates are released.
Payment is made by QR-bill (bank transfer) or TWINT, quoting the booking code in the payment message. Card payments are not accepted online.
The booking is confirmed once the owner has received the payment; a confirmation email is then sent to the guest.
5. Cancellation and stays not taken up
If, for any reason whatsoever, the guest does not take possession of the accommodation or only uses part of the stay, the full rental price remains due, without any reduction. The guest is advised to take out cancellation insurance.
Exceptions: for a cancellation made no later than 30 days before the arrival date, the amount paid is refunded in full (100%); for a cancellation made no later than 15 days before the arrival date, 50% is refunded. After that, no refund is due.
Any cancellation must be notified in writing (by email). If the owner cancels, the amount paid is refunded in full.
6. Arrival, departure and inventory
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out must take place before 10:00, unless otherwise agreed. Key handover details are provided before arrival.
On arrival, the guest checks and acknowledges the inventory.
7. Use of the accommodation
Animals are not allowed. The accommodation is non-smoking.
The guest uses the accommodation with care, respects the neighbours’ peace and quiet, and complies with the house rules and local police regulations.
The guest is responsible for the accommodation throughout the stay and takes every necessary precaution to prevent damage of any kind (water, electricity, frost, fire, etc.), in particular when using the stove, candles or similar items.
The guest informs the owner or her representative without delay of any repairs needed. The cost of any work ordered without the owner’s consent is borne by the guest.
The mazot is not suitable for people with reduced mobility or for children. If the guest nevertheless wishes to come with them, the owner accepts no liability in the event of an accident.
8. Liability, damage and insurance
In addition to the rent, the guest pays for any item lost, destroyed or damaged, and for any damage caused by the guest or the other occupants to the furniture, walls, sanitary facilities or any other part of the mazot. The guest also covers any costs resulting from their own negligence or that of the other occupants.
The guest declares that they hold personal liability insurance and will provide the details of their insurer to the owner on request.
Insurance of the building and of the mazot’s furniture is the owner’s responsibility; insurance of the guest’s personal belongings is the guest’s. The owner accepts no liability for theft or loss of personal belongings, to the extent permitted by law.
The owner is not responsible for interruptions or irregularities in the water, electricity, lighting or heating supply that are not attributable to her, and generally accepts no liability for any loss of enjoyment that is not her fault.
9. Personal data
The data provided when booking (first and last name, email, phone, address, country of origin) is used solely to manage the stay. Details are given in the privacy policy.
10. Acknowledgement of debt, applicable law and jurisdiction
This agreement constitutes an acknowledgement of debt within the meaning of Article 82 of the Swiss Federal Act on Debt Collection and Bankruptcy (DEBA) for the rental price and for all sums owed by the guest under these terms.
These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is Sion (Valais), subject to mandatory consumer protection provisions.
